Llanwenog WI hosted an evening of song, which included invited guests from Lampeter, Llanwnnen, Cwmann and Llanybydder WIs.

Two of Llanwenog's members, Margaret Griffiths and Mary Thomas, have not been coming to WI because choir practice night clashes with the meetings, so to make sure that they were at least at one of the meetings, the WI decided to come to them instead.

What an evening it turned out to be.  The choir, Cor Lleisiau'r Werin, first lead the singing of Jerusalem which nearly brought the roof down, probably not surprisingly as there were five different WI groups present!

The programme was varied and beautifully balanced, with Suzie, Llanwenog's vicar, giving delightful renditions on the harp during the break.  There were several raffle prizes, and as always the food was superb.  Llanwenog had pulled out all the stops(appropriate for a musical evening), and so good music, good food and good company had to be the recipe for a wonderful evening.
